This isn't contained in the scope of supply, to avoid changes in the current driver configuration of the used PCs. A corresponding driver (Cardware from APSoft) can be obtained under 'www.tssc.de'. - SinuCom FFS can be run on the software platforms Windows NT Version 4.0, Service Pack 6 Windows ME Windows 2000/XP - SinuCom FFS occupies approx. 1MB in the SinuCom FFS directory. Installation ------------ - You have to close all applications except Explorer before installing SinuCom FFS. - To install SinuCom FFS, you then place the CD in the CD drive of your PG/PC, start Explorer or an MS-DOS prompt and change to the CD drive. Then start the program SETUP.EXE, which is located in the root directory of the CD. This program executes the user-guided installation of SinuCom FFS. General Notes ------------- Supported systems and NCK versions: - SinuCom FFS supports the 8XXD and 8XXDi systems with all NCK versions. Starting SinuCom FFS: - SinuCom FFS is either started from the 'Start' menu on the task bar or from 'sinucomffs.exe' in the SinuCom NC directory. Error messages: - Uniform appearance, in part with detailed information. PC-Card read and write: - When you will read and write PC-Cards with SinuCom FFS, you have to declare program calls under Reader and Writer in the options dialog. These program calls must read or write a file from or to the card one to one. Driver Notes ------------ When you are using Cardware from APSoft with the SIMATIC File PG, SIMATIC Power PG, the calls have to be specified as follows: Cardware for Windows NT (version 6.00.36 or newer): - Writer: \PCDISK.EXE /ES: "/DF:%1" /WS: /Y - Reader: \PCDISK.EXE "/DF:%1" /RS: /Y Cardware for Windows 2000/XP (version 1.00.003 or newer): - Writer: \SYSTEM32\CWMEMCTL.EXE /ES: "/DF:%1" /WS: /Y - Reader: \SYSTEM32\CWMEMCTL.EXE "/DF:%1" /RS: /Y - : the directory, where Cardware was installed - : the Windows directory, mostly C:\WINDOWS - : the PCMCIA socket you are using, mostly 0 or 1 - The parameter "/DF:%1" must be typed in much that, with the double quotation mark. - If you wish no output, you can add the parameter /E to the end of the other parameters. - If or contain blanks, you must type in the program in double quotation marks. E.g.: "C:\Program Files\CWNT\PCDISK.EXE" and than the rest of the parameters. - For other drivers the calls must be adjusted. - %1 is a place holder for the file name specified in SinuCom FFS. Secondary conditions -------------------- - SinuCom FFS doesn't implement an automation interface yet. - The selection of the necessary driver is depending to the available system configuration (hardware and operating system) and is assigned to the user. ==============================================================================
